PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER: ADVENTURES IN DIVING

Continue the Fun and Adventure! The PADI Adventures in Diving Program is ideal for the newly certified diver and experienced diver and gives you an opportunity to improve your diving skills and increase your confidence in varying water conditions and diving specialties. The program consists of compulsory deep and navigation dives and your choice of three elective dives from a list of diving options. The PADI Adventures in Diving Program is also a prerequisite for PADI Specialty Diver programs and the PADI Rescue Diver Program. The emphasis is on diving and fun!



PREREQUISITES:

  • 10 years of age or older
  • Certified PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver, or equivalent

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

Section #1 - Knowledge Development
One pre-dive session to review the information in the PADI Adventures in diving manual and to discuss the upcoming open water dives.

Section #2 - Open Water Diving
Advanced Open Water Diver - Five open water dives over a period of 2 days. Adventures in Diving - Three open water dives over a period of 1-2 days.

Depending upon location and conditions, the divers and instructor will choose from the following group of open water dives:

PROGRAM FEE: $225.00

INCLUDED:

  • Instruction for knowledge development session, pre-dive briefings, and open water diving.
  • Tanks, weights, weight belt, and compass and other specialty equipment required.
  • Passport size photo for c-card & certification envelope from PADI ($33.00).
  • Student Diver discounts on gear purchases for the term of the Adventure in Diving program.

NOT INCLUDED:

  • Scuba equipment including BCD, regulators and gauges. We also recommend bringing a wetsuit, dive knife, dive light, and glow stick. All of these items can be purchased or rented at a disoucnt from Steamboat Scuba and Water Sports.
  • PADI Adventures in Diving Student Diver Kit, including Adventures in Diving Manual, Video, Deluxe Data Carrier, and Adventures in Diving logbook insert ($62.95).
  • Mask, fins, and snorkel (may be rented from Steamboat Scuba and Water Sports).
  • Transportation, lodging, meals, personal expenses to/from and at the Open Water Dive Site.
  • Admission fees to dive the Homestead Crater ($59.00 per diver for two days of diving).
